The Art of Story Telling

I attended a conference last week and one of the sessions was all about how we have forgotten the art of telling the story of.  Robert McDowell  from Microsoft presented and he had a couple of slides that should be shared wide and loud…   They are:

  • What makes a Great story ? 
    • Simple
    • Unexpected
    • Concrete
    • Credible
    • Emotional
    • Sellable
    • Stickable
  •  What makes a grreat Storry Teller?
    • Candor
    • Honesty
    • Authenticity
    • Role Model
    • Action Oriented
    • Credible
    • Trustworthy
    • Enthusiastic
    • Real

I think these are very good points and they hit home …
