{"id":112,"date":"2009-10-23T13:33:22","date_gmt":"2009-10-23T21:33:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jorper98.wordpress.com\/?p=112"},"modified":"2022-09-26T11:56:57","modified_gmt":"2022-09-26T18:56:57","slug":"iphone-vs-palm-pre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jorgep.com\/blog\/iphone-vs-palm-pre\/","title":{"rendered":"iPhone vs Palm Pre"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>No this will not be a full comparasion or anything like that, just a quick rambling in myblog regardind my observations between the two platforms, after using both for about a couple of months now.<\/p>\n<p>Although I secretly wanted for the Pre to be the one to write about, I have to say that iPod as a platform is definitelly ahead of the game\u2026\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I realize this is a bit unfair, as the iPhone platform has been much longer in the market place, but \u2026<\/p>\n<p>My questions for\u00a0both platforms are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What\u2019s up with\u00a0 no Flash capabilities?\u00a0 Is it a licensing thing???<\/li>\n<li>On the camera \u2013 Why not a digital zoom 2x or 3x ?\u00a0 Is it a hardware limitation?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I really like my Pre but I do have a couple of\u00a0challenges with it:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Why in the world would Pre developers not have an on\u00a0screen keyboard available?<br \/>\nI know there are a couple of ways to hack it, but come-on\u2026 Why not make it available standard.<\/li>\n<li>Why not a Video recorder ?<br \/>\nThe device is capable and as I understand it outstanding hardware, but it came with no software\u2026<\/li>\n<li>PLEASE\u00a0 open up the Pre AppStore\u00a0 soon! \u2013 The 40 or so applications you have right now are just killing the momentum\u2026 \u2013 It can be\u00a0 and we can have so much more \u2013<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>No this will not be a full comparasion or anything like that, just a quick rambling in myblog regardind my observations between the two platforms, after using both for about a couple of months now.
