{"id":163,"date":"2009-12-14T04:41:00","date_gmt":"2009-12-14T04:41:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jorper98.wordpress.com\/?p=163"},"modified":"2017-06-20T20:38:24","modified_gmt":"2017-06-20T20:38:24","slug":"notables-of-the-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jorgep.com\/blog\/notables-of-the-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Notables of the week &#8211;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Been busy this week with a lot work, so I have not had the chance to post much lately .\u00a0 However this does not mean, I have forgotten about my blog \ud83d\ude42\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It is interesting\u2026\u00a0 When I made a personal commitment to actually write something often, everything I look at becomes a candidate for the blog.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 So here are a couple of notables:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.diigo.com\" target=\"_blank\">Diigo.com<\/a> it is an old one, but I just started to use.\u00a0 There are a few\u00a0 things that are drawing me to it\u2026 1) easy to use and clean interface; 2)\u00a0 the Chrome Extension; 3) The ability to highlight text;\u00a0 4) Bookmark, Tweet and EasyBlog at the same time.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I have been using <a href=\"http:\/\/www.evernote.com\" target=\"_blank\">Evernote<\/a> for a long time\u2026 It will be interesting to see which one I end-up\u00a0 with\u2026<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/sourceforge.net\/projects\/freefilesync\/\" target=\"_blank\">FreeFileSync<\/a> \u2013 is a GREAT\u00a0 *free* multiplatform tool to synchronize files.\u00a0 Very streamlined interface, easy to understand, and fast.\u00a0\u00a0 Did I mentioned it is free?\u00a0 I paid and have been using <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fileware.com\/products.htm#FileSync\" target=\"_blank\">FileSync<\/a> for many years, but there has not been an update since 2005.\u00a0 Time to update\u2026 Tried the demo versions of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.goodsync.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">GoodSync<\/a>,\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.allwaysync.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Allwaysync<\/a>,\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/downloads\/details.aspx?FamilyID=C26EFA36-98E0-4EE9-A7C5-98D0592D8C52&amp;displaylang=en\" target=\"_blank\">SyncToy<\/a>,\u00a0 and several others.<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft\u2019s Office Labs <del>Community Clips Recorder<\/del>\u00a0(1)\u00a0a free tool to easily record and produce your own screen casts.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Very easy to use.<\/li>\n<li>I will post a dedicated post about virtualizaiton tools, but wanted to let you know about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.virtualbox.org\/wiki\/VirtualBox\" target=\"_blank\">Sun\u2019s VirtualBox \u00ae<\/a> virtualization client\u00a0 &#8212;\u00a0\u00a0 Just took it for a spin and it looks like a very solid and good too!
