Of course, it does! &nbsp;&nbsp;This is\nwhat the workforce transformation, digital workspace and modern device\nmanagement enables! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>The ability to work and securely access applications of data anytime, anywhere on any device<\/em>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Now that companies have completed their Windows 7 to Windows 10 migrations, they are \/ were  focusing on how to improve their existing process for managing, deploying and supporting their end-point devices across all platforms anywhere their end-users are.     The current corona virus events, which is likely to continue to be with us for months \/ years to come,  are accelerating these conversations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p> Work will no longer be a place you&nbsp;<em>go<\/em>, but rather a thing you&nbsp;<em>do<\/em>. <\/p><cite><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/pulse\/bigideas2019-work-longer-place-you-goits-thing-do-anna-auerbach\" class=\"rank-math-link\">by Anna Auerback December 2019<\/a><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Organizations need to have the right tools and technology to enable their employees to be able to continue to communicate and collaborate with their peers and customers regardless of where they work from .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enter Modern\nManagement <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The ability\nto better support the end user, no matter where they are, <strong>is not only\ntied <\/strong>to the operating system, but the entire stack associated\nwith their work including: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Identity<\/li><li>Permissions<\/li><li>Productivity Applications <\/li><li>Collaboration Tools<\/li><li>Business Applications<\/li><li>Data <\/li><li>Security<\/li><li>Self Service<\/li><li>Device management<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the\nsystems have existed for a long time on Android, IOS and MacOS platforms, these\ncapabilities have lagged for the large Windows-based devices ( 2+ billion )\nuntil the release of Windows 10 and Microsoft refocus on bringing their\nproductivity software into one cohesive, cross-device cloud-based platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">MDM tool is\ncritical, but only a small piece <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>According to\nindustry press, there are two Modern Device Management \/ Unified Endpoint\nManagement vendors in the market today:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\nMicrosoft and VMware with their respective products:&nbsp;&nbsp; Microsoft Intune and Workspace One.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although a critical\npiece of your workforce modernization strategy, modern device management tool is\nonly one piece of the Workforce Transformation Journey. &nbsp;&nbsp;A strong platform including Directory\nServices, Productivity and Collaboration, and Data Management tools is\nrequired.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two\nleading ones that come to mind: Google\u2019s G-Suite and Microsoft platform\nincluding Office 365 and Microsoft 365 bundled suite. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In medium to\nlarge business, the two I encounter the most 1) Microsoft platform and 2)\nGoogle Suite platform.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Platform Moving Forward<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Historically, many organizations have used multiple tools to manage different pieces of their end-user computing environment (this include all devices, user authentication and authorization, application delivery, security, ).&nbsp;&nbsp; This has proven expensive and hard to maintain, creating confusion across users, and IT management roles.&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although point solution vendors claim to have better tools for specific use cases, the Microsoft 365 suite is arguably the most comprehensive management, security, productivity, collaboration cross-platform (IOS, MacOS, Android, Windows) product suite available today, and it is hard to beat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Microsoft Teams, a collaboration platform, comes with the Office 365 suite, which is part of the Microsoft 365, is being widely adopted across the enterprise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A quick refence\nto the options available follow:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/jorgep.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Microsoft365-BundleOptions.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/jorgep.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Microsoft365-BundleOptions-1024x599.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16472\"\/><\/a><figcaption><a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/microsoft-365\/compare-all-microsoft-365-plans\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"Microsoft 365 Bundle Options (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"rank-math-link\">Microsoft 365 Bundle Options<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I am having daily conversations with customers about this topic and to best understand their needs, fears and objections.
