Windows 11 requires Windows 10 as the baseline. <\/li><li>What about application compatibility?<ul><li>Although it has not been 100% confirmed, I think it is VERY safe to say:   <ul><li><strong>If it runs on Windows 10 it will run on Windows 11. <\/strong><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>on a <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/techcommunity.microsoft.com\/t5\/windows-it-pro-blog\/windows-lifecycle-and-servicing-update\/ba-p\/2493043\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/techcommunity.microsoft.com\/t5\/windows-it-pro-blog\/windows-lifecycle-and-servicing-update\/ba-p\/2493043\" target=\"_blank\">6\/28\/2021 blog post<\/a>,  Microsoft explains the new Windows 11 Windows Lifecycle and servicing update plan <ul><li>Windows 11 will have an annual feature update cadence, a change from the semi-annual cadence of Windows 10.<\/li><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/microsoft-365\/blog\/2021\/06\/24\/windows-11-the-operating-system-for-hybrid-work-and-learning\/\" target=\"_blank\">Windows 11<\/a>\u00a0will be available via all the existing Windows 10 servicing channels our commercial organizations are familiar with.<\/li><li>For Enterprise and Education customers the\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/techcommunity.microsoft.com\/t5\/windows-it-pro-blog\/announcing-the-windows-update-for-business-deployment-service\/ba-p\/2178419\" target=\"_blank\">Windows Update for Business deployment service<\/a>\u00a0provides more IT control over Windows Update than ever before to approve, schedule or expedite updates via Microsoft Endpoint Manager<\/li><li>While Windows 11 marks an exciting milestone for the future of Windows, we will continue to\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/lifecycle\/products\/windows-10-home-and-pro\" target=\"_blank\">support Windows 10 through October 14, 2025<\/a>.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>What other questions do you have?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UPDATE 7\/1\/2021 &#8211; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Windows 11 is not yet available.
