We&#8217;re finally back with another Recipe! This time, we&#8217;re going to have Ryan attempt to create Penne Lasagna! And yes, my Mom gave us this one. She gave us a lot of these over time obviously, since everyone lets me do the Recipes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>tsp = teaspoon<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tbsp = Tablespoon<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>lbs = Pounds<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mince = chop into very small pieces<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Diced = You chop the thing into roughly square like shapes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cubed = Actually what it says, cut the ingredients into rough cubes, much bigger than diced<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sliced = Cut into thin broad strips (usually circles)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chopped = to cut into small pieces with repeated blows<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Al Dente =&nbsp;Pasta and\/or Vegetables, Rice or Beans that are cooked to be firm to the bite. &#8211; Another way to put it is that it&#8217;s cooked but not fully cooked<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Saute = cook with oil<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fold = Mix the ingredients by scooping the bottom of the mix onto the top of the mix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reserve = Hold on\/Don\u2019t discard. Usually a liquid that is normally considered waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1.5 lbs of Ground Beef (Lean so 80\/20 [20% fat)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Half of a Large Onion &#8211; Chopped<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Half of an Orange or Red Bell Pepper &#8211; Chopped<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 Large Carrots<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tsp of Salt &#8211; Also Salt to taste<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1.5 tsp of Dry Oregano<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 Can of Stewed Dice Tomatoes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 Box of Penne Noodles &#8211; 1lb<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 Jar of Prego Mushroom Sauce [Mushroom flavored spaghetti sauce]<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2 Cup of Parmesan Cheese<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 Cup of Grated Mozzarella Cheese<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Olive Oil<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Necessary Equipment<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2 Medium pots<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lasagna Pan<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oven \u2013 Heated to 375 Degrees Fahrenheit (350 Degrees Fahrenheit for Convection)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Measure Utensils<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PAM\/Non-Stick Spray<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Instructions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Part 1 &#8211; <em>The Meat S<\/em><i>auce<\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Spice the ground beef with salt and oregano<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Saute the ground beef in the medium pot until brown<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the onion, bell pepper, carrots, and onions to the meat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cook for 5 minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the Can of Stewed Diced Tomatoes and Spaghetti Sauce.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cook for 20 minutes with cover on. Stir Occasionally.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Part 2 &#8211;&nbsp;<em>The Noodles<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Boil the Penne Noodles for <em>6 minutes<\/em>\u00a0in salted water<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drain and add a small amount of Olive Oil to prevent sticking<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Part 3 &#8211; <em>Building the Lasagna<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Spray Pam on the Lasagna Pan<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Layer 1: Add about 1\/3rd the Meat Sauce, make sure to coat the bottom<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Layer 2: Add 1\/2 the Penne<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Layer 3: Add\u00a0about 1\/3rd the Meat\u00a0Sauce and sprinkle 1\/2 the Mozzarella Cheese on top<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Layer 4: Add the Remaining 1\/2 of Penne<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Layer 5: Add the last remaining 1\/3rd the Meat Sauce\u00a0and sprinkle the Parmesan\u00a0Cheese on top<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bake for 20 mins<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove from the Oven and sprinkle the remaining 1\/2 of the Mozzarella Cheese<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bake for 10 more minutes<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>ENJOY!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>*Picture May Be Coming* Hey!
