{"id":69,"date":"2009-06-03T00:52:37","date_gmt":"2009-06-03T00:52:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jorper98.wordpress.com\/?p=69"},"modified":"2022-09-26T11:32:42","modified_gmt":"2022-09-26T18:32:42","slug":"google-notebook-discontinued","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jorgep.com\/blog\/google-notebook-discontinued\/","title":{"rendered":"Google Notebook Discontinued"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-72\" title=\"GoogleNoteBook\" alt=\"GoogleNoteBook\" src=\"https:\/\/jorgep.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/picture-4.png\" width=\"147\" height=\"31\" \/>I have been a great fan of Google Notebook feature for many years.\u00a0\u00a0 I\u00a0 have posted many ideas, things to remember, web clippings and a number of other items\u00a0 there.<\/p>\n<p>I am not sure how I missed this news, but as I was rebuilding my computer and adding my browser extensions, I got the message that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/googlenotebook\/newusers.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Google stopped development of Notebook<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0 Sad news &#8211; it was easy to use, and very handy when integrated into my iGoogle pages.\u00a0 I had looked at others a while back, but decided to stick to it<\/p>\n<p>So what is next?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.evernote.com\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-78\" title=\"evernote_logo\" alt=\"evernote_logo\" src=\"https:\/\/jorgep.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/evernote_logo.gif\" width=\"228\" height=\"60\" \/>Evernote<\/a> here I come! &#8212; that was my runner up when I looked at it a while back&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Evernote allows you to easily <strong>capture<\/strong> information in any environment using whatever device or platform you find most convenient, and makes this information <strong>accessible<\/strong> and <strong>searchable<\/strong> at any time, from anywhere.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Others which I considered included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.diigo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Diigio<\/a> &#8212; Close Runner Up!\u00a0 Still considering it&#8230; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.diigo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><br \/>\n<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/drop.io\/\">Drop.io<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ubernote.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">UberNote<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20161119051047\/http:\/\/www.springnote.com:80\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SpringNote<\/a><\/li>\n<li><del>MetaNotes<\/del><\/li>\n<li>Similar or related, but not quite the same:<\/li>\n<li><del> http:\/\/www.twine.com\/<\/del><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have been a great fan of Google Notebook feature for many years.\u00a0\u00a0 I\u00a0 have posted many ideas, things to remember, web clippings and a number of other items\u00a0 there.
