{"id":755,"date":"2012-05-09T19:51:24","date_gmt":"2012-05-10T02:51:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jorgep.com\/blog\/?p=755"},"modified":"2022-09-26T11:24:45","modified_gmt":"2022-09-26T18:24:45","slug":"hangout-on-air-genius","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jorgep.com\/blog\/hangout-on-air-genius\/","title":{"rendered":"Google+ Hangout On Air &#8211;  Genius!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On Monday of this \u00a0week Google announced\u00a0 the general availability of <a href=\"http:\/\/googleblog.blogspot.com\/2012\/05\/google-hangouts-on-air-broadcast-your.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Google+ Hangout On Air.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A great very personal \u201cwebcast\u201d overview of the service by the Google team can be found\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/T1E__F8eNJ0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>\u00a0 or you can listen to it below\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><code>[youtube_sc url=T1E__F8eNJ0\u00a0width=330]<\/code><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This recorded session gives an overview of the setup, a professional broadcaster gives tips and tricks, and answers many questions from the large audience ! &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>The service is excellent\u2026 ( Yes you can have better video quality, but it is free!\u00a0 )<\/p>\n<p>I believe this feature has leapfrogged Microsoft, Skype, vSee and the so many others out there.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 All part of the process to get everyone into the Google+ platform.<\/p>\n<p>A couple of things of note mentioned include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You can upload your session into YouTube<\/li>\n<li>Your post is by default public.<\/li>\n<li>You can mark your session as private \u2013 (2 hours limit, but can be longer if you want to mark it as public)<\/li>\n<li>If you place a session in a Google+ Business Page, your video will be posted from your manager account.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (no other way, as YouTube does not recognize Google Pages accounts.)<\/li>\n<li>It scales !<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; On Monday of this \u00a0week Google announced\u00a0 the general availability of Google+ Hangout On Air.
