Microsoft Partner Competencies &#038; Requirements"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you were at any of the Microsoft partner events in the last couple of years,\u00a0 you would know that\u00a0 Microsoft has been in the process of revamping the Microsoft Partner Program and its ecosystem.\u00a0 The changes officially started this past July when they renamed the Microsoft Partner Program to <a href=\"https:\/\/partner.microsoft.com\/US\/Partner\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Microsoft Partner Network (MPN)<\/a>, partly in line with their effort to reflect and re-emphasize their reliance on the partner network.\u00a0\u00a0 They also announced the new partner program requirements, and the revision of the competencies sets.<\/p>\n<p>As far as the requirements, Microsoft is asking that in order to maintain the competency status current:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be an active member of the Microsoft Partner Network;<\/li>\n<li>Meet the appropriate individual or software certification requirements per competency;<\/li>\n<li>Meet the minimum sales bar as appropriate; and<\/li>\n<li>Submit at least 3 customer references of recent (12-months) completed work performed per competency<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For the new competency rollout and the mapping to the old ones, as of this writing,\u00a0 only 3 out of the <a href=\"https:\/\/partner.microsoft.com\/US\/program\/40115883\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">29 competencies<\/a> announced\u00a0 have been rolled out.\u00a0 Desktop Platform,
