Combined Two of My Blogs…

This weekend I folded into — I have been thinking about doing this for a while and combining the two sites, but, frankly, I have been lazy in actually pulling the trigger to do it, as it is a lot of work to do and not loose the data / links and such. Although both of these sites are running WordPress platform, they are in two different hosting companies.

Why am I doing it ?

I have done this a number of times over the year, but it has always been over the end of a website ( product or informational one that I had – At some point, many years ago, I had over 40 different sites on different topics I was running. This time is a bit different, as is a very well visited site.

The primary reasons, at least in my mind, make sense:

There is only a limited time of time in a 24 hour day.

Over the last few years, I have been writing a lot more articles on, and a lot less on my personal blog. It is not easy ( Kudos to those who do it!) to keep content going. I never wanted to hire anyone to write for me, so with a couple of small collaborations and one or two guest posts, all of the content has been mine.

Keep Learning – Do not stop

Although I have done hosting migrations and site combinations before, it is always good to do it every few years to keep the site clean (spring cleaning). It is a lot of work, but I enjoy learning about the new tools and the process. Keeps me away from Netflix and Paramount+ 🙂

Side note: Now when you type any of the old URLs it gets automatically re-routed to and it adds the new ModernEUC sub-banner for the post or category… Pretty cool!

Want ONE Place for All Things Me

This is a thing I have been working for a while. It may be pretty obvious today, and you may say that I should have done this a long time ago. But with the context of time, things and strategies have changed a lot over the years. Having said this, it has always been difficult for my family, friends and followers to decide what and where to follow me for updates and things…

I really want a single definitive place where all of my stuff is at. is where I have posted the most over the years (Since 2007 actually!) but as I mentioned, the focus over the past few years has been on and which I still need to think about folding into — Not 100% sure yet on that one…

I have also consolidated all of my YouTube videos into my Jorgep YouTube Channel I went from 3 channels to a single one with multiple playlists. Unfortunately, there was no way to keep the view count, original post date or comments, so all that was lost. — I plan to spend a lot more time on YouTube creating some additional content so with me luck (and subscribe) in that endeavor…
