Online Project Management Tool Requirements

I have been checking online tools to help  me manage projects collaboratively amongst a diverse virtual team.  

A few simple requirements I consider baseline are:

  • Overall dashboard for Program
  • Weekly Program Status Reports (entry / editing )
    • Ability to enter project status reports
  • Ability to have multiple projects  under one category
  • Issue tracking – Ability to track / manage  issues
    • Multiple levels / Priorities
    • Assignment of issues to individuals
    • Very important is the capability for team members to add notes and status reports
  • Risk tracking – Ability to track / manage  Risks
    • Multiple levels / Priorities
    • Very important is the capability for team members to add notes and status reports
  • Knowledge base (aka Wiki, Notebook)
  • Time Keeping  (Ideally with a good timesheet system)
  • Project Document repository  (with folder-based permissions)
  • Multi-user based system (permissions must be granted to access/view projects.
  • Email alerts
  • Change log for every transaction made - 

 

Not much I think…   What am I missing?
