Online Project Management Tool Requirements
I have been checking online tools to help me manage projects collaboratively amongst a diverse virtual team.
A few simple requirements I consider baseline are:
- Overall dashboard for Program
- Weekly Program Status Reports (entry / editing )
- Ability to enter project status reports
- Ability to have multiple projects under one category
- Issue tracking – Ability to track / manage issues
- Multiple levels / Priorities
- Assignment of issues to individuals
- Very important is the capability for team members to add notes and status reports
- Risk tracking – Ability to track / manage Risks
- Multiple levels / Priorities
- Very important is the capability for team members to add notes and status reports
- Knowledge base (aka Wiki, Notebook)
- Time Keeping (Ideally with a good timesheet system)
- Project Document repository (with folder-based permissions)
- Multi-user based system (permissions must be granted to access/view projects.
- Email alerts
- Change log for every transaction made -
Not much I think… What am I missing?
