Microsoft Live Writer goes Open Source
This is really good news… Microsoft Live Writer is a tool I use daily, and for several years no one knew what the future of it was going to be..
So many of us went on to find alternatives, but nothing simple and good is available on the marketplace (remember FrontPage – Anything comparable?)
It really makes blog writing process simple. You keep drafts you are working on, and just publish them when you are read..
So to hear this announcement :
Today is the day. An independent group of volunteers within Microsoft has successfully open sourced and forked Windows Live Writer….
was truly music to my ears..
Windows Live Writer 2012 was the last version Microsoft released and we have been wondering what was going to happen to it ever since…
So a big THANK YOU to Microsoft and the volunteers that have made this possible… Cheers!
