Ivanti Acquires MobilIron

Ivanti and MobileIron are very common device management tools out there.

In an interesting industry consolidation move Ivanti moves to acquires MobileIron and Pulse Secure.

Ivanti was founded in 2017 ( just three/four years ago ) from the merger of LANDesk and Heat Software which focuses on service management, enterprise endpoint security and patch management support.

With the purchase of established MDM vendor Mobile Iron, Ivanti has a pretty compelling and complete modern device management solution.

Each of the companies on their own hold challenger and visionary standings in the 2020 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Unified Endpoint Manager.

Looking forward to how will they combine the offers to compete with Microsoft and VMware.
