Windows Updates and Patching Best Practices! 

 

Two news items that hit the streets in the last couple of weeks, which are a good reminder to all customers that we Windows Servicing (especially on Windows 10) requires attention, best practices where  Dell Technology Services can help!

 

 

The April Patch Tuesday cumulative update  challenges 

Released on April 9 for Windows systems, including Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10, the Cumulative Update has caused many challenges on numerous systems.  Microsoft’s KB4493472 has been especially problematic for antivirus programs including  Sophos Endpoint Protection,  McAffee, Avira, Avast and others

 

Windows 10 May Update  (aka: 19H1, 1903 or Spring Release)  Preview 

If you are in the Windows Insiders Community and want to try out the upcoming 1903 release,  you may find it challenging as Microsoft has blocked block the May 2019 Update On PCs Using USB Or SD Storage
